Who we are:
I founded this company because throughout my time in medicine but especially as an anesthesiologist I see the need to improve the proficiency and skills of medical personnel in the area of airway management. You cannot get a job in healthcare unless you have proven proficiency in ACLS and BLS. But none of these patients will survive any of these events unless the airway is correctly managed. Airway skills is a necessary skill and everyone should have this skill at least the basics.
What we do:
At Texasairwayinstitute we strongly believe in self reliance. A knowledge of basic airway management skills is not overrated. Just as there is a push to have anyone involved with patient care have a basic skill in the use of ultrasound, ACLS etc this skill set is very important. I have been called to an airway emergency and everyone is standing around panicked waiting for me to get there from 5 or even 10 minutes away. Then I get there and nothing is set up. I have to look for the airway cart, request the necessary medications and all of this is valuable time being lost. This weakness was even more obvious during the pandemic. But it will be a different thing with less confusion and time lost if nurses, hospitalists and the medical personnel develop and acquire a better understanding of what to do, when and how to do it. We therefore want to empower all and especially healthcare practitioners with the necessary but maybe the most important skill to excel and improve patient care . From lectures to hands on practice to consultations we are changing how patient care should be approached. At Texasairwayinstitute we believe everyone should be able to have these skills and to the level they want. For those who feel uncomfortable with the level of their skills we provide an opportunity for small groups as well as one on one train
Why we are unique:
Our focus is not to monetize but rather to serve and advance patient care. Sometimes the training we get and I can testify to that is quality but we are sometimes left feeling like we didn’t master the material. We are unique because we individualize the needs of the client not based on a group approach. We understand everyone learns at a different pace and we do not let our clients go unless they feel comfortable with their skills. Clients offered lectures and video demonstrations on most topics. Our clients have access to the material for a whole year with access to email with any questions they may have. We are unique because we give everyone the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge of airway management irrespective of their background and prior knowledge. Your Texasairwayinstitute Team
